Don’t meddle in free enterprise
Editor: In response to Robert Reich’s perspective in May 15 The Record, “How to keep CEO pay in check,” he tries makes an argument that it is a good thing for government to influence the pay of a corporate CEO, by taxing the company less if the executives make less.
He justifies this by explaining that the large paycheck comes at the expense of the average employees, so this needs to be corrected.
My question is, how is this anybody’s business what a private company pays its executives?
