ISLAMORADA — Fabien Cousteau’s ongoing underwater living experiment in the Florida Keys has included filmmaking, online chats with classrooms worldwide, marine research and an underwater painting lesson.
The artist Wyland visited Aquarius Reef Base last week and painted a portrait of Cousteau’s grandfather, ocean exploration pioneer Jacques Cousteau, from the sea floor using environmentally friendly paints on canvas.
