A deal struck Tuesday by the county and the Veteran’s Administration gives local veterans hope that health care services here will go uninterrupted.
The plan was announced via a resolution by the St. Johns Board of County Commissioners at the end of it regular meeting. Commission Chairman Jay Morris told The Record Wednesday morning that it was truly an 11th-hour deal. “We’d heard it was on the table at 9:30 a.m., but it was in the works all day. We got it done just before adjourning.”
