The only sign of the latest pedestrian fatality in St. Augustine on Monday was a small part of a headlight on the grass in front of Dunkin’ Donuts near the entrance to the Outlet Mall.
Police believe that Anthony Nicholas Driver, 26, of St. Augustine, was crossing State Road 16 around midnight on Sunday night to report for his shift at McDonald’s when he was hit by a 2013 Dodge Avenger, traveling westbound.
“He was a tremendous part of our McDonald’s family, and he will be greatly missed,” McDonald’s owner/operator Drew Van Zante said.
