ECORSE, Mich. — An 18-year-old Michigan woman who went missing after reporting she’d stopped to check on a person lying in a rural roadside ditch was found alive more than 16 hours later after jumping from a slow-moving vehicle, police said.
Ecorse police Cpl. Chris Trevino told the Detroit Free Press that a motorist in the Detroit suburb saw the woman jump about 2:30 p.m. Friday from the vehicle, which sped away.
The motorist took the woman to the police station, Trevino said, and she was taken to a hospital.
