A drug used to treat stage 4 melanoma patients at the Mayo Clinic was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last week for widespread use.
The drug Keytruda, also called pembrolizumab, was tested at the Mayo Clinic and other facilities during initial testing stages before receiving approval from the FDA.
