Jacksonville’s Baptist Health announced Wednesday that it signed a letter of intent to become a member of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Network.
The Anderson Cancer Center, located in Houston, has been ranked number one in cancer care in 10 of the last 12 years in U.S. News and World Report’s annual “Best Hospitals” survey. Its mission statement is to “eliminate cancer.”
Hugh Greene, president and CEO of Baptist Health, called the agreement “a game changer” and “one of the most significant announcements in the near 60-year history of Baptist Health.”
