An hour before practicing for the first time since his four-game suspension ended, Jaguars receiver Ace Sanders said Wednesday he was in good enough physical condition to handle a starter-type role Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He better be in shape.
The Jaguars’ year-long injury issues at receiver have continued into October – Marqise Lee (hamstring) has been ruled out for a third straight game and Cecil Shorts (hamstring) called himself “week to week” – meaning Sanders should be the No.3 receiver and No. 1 punt returner despite his layoff.
