BUNNELL — Three doctors say a man accused of killing a clerk in a north Florida gas station is not mentally fit to stand trial.
A judge ordered a third mental evaluation for 26-year-old Joseph Frank Bova II, before deciding whether to grant Bova’s request to represent himself. On Wednesday, a judge ordered Bova to a state hospital until he is ready. The Florida Times-Union said Bova will be evaluated again to be sure he is competent. Bova is accused of killing Zuheily Roman Rosado in February 2013 as she worked alone in a Mobil Mart.
