SARASOTA — Authorities say a man who fatally shot an intruder inside his home now faces charges of illegally possessing the handgun he fired.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports 36-year-old Christopher Bane was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bane was convicted of felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell in March 2001. He told he wasn’t aware he is a convicted felon.
