Palm Beach County schools will be significantly dialing back their testing schedules, dropping nearly a dozen diagnostic exams across several grades and middle school nine-week exams for the rest of the year, according to an email that went out to principals Wednesday.
The goal is to give teachers and students more time to cover the lessons needed before the new state assessment kicks in this spring, the message said.
But the message parents could take away from this change of course 10 weeks into the school year: Your voices were heard.
