St. Johns County seems bound and determined to absolve itself of what most folks would term a “duty” to enforce its own Land Development Codes, designed (we always thought) to protect our citizens and environment from excesses of development efforts (rather than vice-versa).
Perhaps we were wrong.
Tuesday, County Commissioners will vote on a Major Modification request to a Planned Unit Development by the PGA Tour. The 185 acres lies within a larger DRI, called Caballos del Mar. It covers about 3,700 acres and was established in 1975.
