A teenís ride on an ATV ended fatally Friday when she lost control of the four-wheeled vehicle while speeding down a trail in rural Volusia County, landing in a ditch with the vehicle on top of her, authorities reported. Kimberly D. Phillips, of Sanford, died from her injuries at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City. Phillips, 18, was speeding on a 2012 Polaris all-terrain vehicle as she rode southbound on Fawn Trail toward Doe Road around 4:45 p.m., FHP reported. read more
