Mark Duffner was one year away from tying Andy Heck for the longest tenure among Jaguars assistant coaches.
But after eight seasons, Duffner left Monday to become the Miami Dolphins’ new linebackers coach.
Duffner said he and his wife will keep their home in Ponte Vedra and will continue to be active in Jacksonville.
“I really believe in this community and all that’s going on here for the people and a lot of those initiatives are executed by the Jaguars,” Duffner said. “Anything to continue doing that, I’ll do big time.”
