Officer Lee Lawshe walked through a remote part of northern Flagler County that has become a shooting range.
Hundreds of empty bullet casings and shotgun shells scattered the ground along with chewed-up targets and a shattered TV.
Lawshe, an officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, picked up a few.
“That’s an AK-47 round,” he said. “They shoot everything out here.”
Lawshe, 44, of Elkton, deals with illegal hunting and shooting, and other dangerous situations as part of his job.
