The short story is that the City of St. Augustine ended up owning a piece of property in 2010 and sold it for a financial loss this week — around $125,000. On paper, that’s indisputable.
First, we need to say that The Record reported this week that the property was acquired under the RICO Forfeiture Act, quoting a city official.
It had nothing to do with the Racketeering Influence and Corruption Act or any kind of federal charges.
