Destin Jet owner Jay Odom appears to have his hand in a second dispute with Okaloosa County over a business run out of Destin Airport.
On March 6, County Airports Director Sunil Harman notified Vertol Systems Company at Destin Airport that it was being placed in default of its contract with the county and had 14 days to “cure” the default.
County Administrator Ernie Padgett stepped in March 17 to inform Vertol that he was extending for 90 days the time they had to negotiate a contract dispute, public records show.
