In the last 20 years, many record stores have gone from places that don’t sell records to places that don’t sell anything.
With the shift in buying music from brick and mortar stores to the instant gratification of downloading songs directly to phones or other devices, retail sales of physical recordings have plunged.
But as the giant music stores have gone out of business, some independent retailers are sticking around by maintaining relationships with customers and taking advantage of resurgence in the sales of actual vinyl records.
