DELRAY BEACH — Authorities say one person is dead after a South Florida commuter train hit a car.
Delray Beach police say the car was going over the CSX tracks west of Interstate 95 Thursday morning when the northbound Tri-Rail train hit it.
The person in the car died at the scene, and authorities say seven people on the train were injured.
The Palm Beach Post reports that the train was carrying about 90 people.
While the track was closed, Tri-Rail arranged for a bus to carry travelers between the Boca Raton and Delray Beach stations.
