GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — Authorities at Grand Canyon National Park have released the name of a Flagstaff woman who died after apparently falling off the South Rim. Park officials say the body of 45-year-old Jody McDaniel was recovered Monday.
They say an investigation into her death is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
Park officials received a call shortly after 1 p.m. Monday about someone who had fallen off the rim at Mather Point.
