Phillips Broadcasting president Kris Phillips says that if her radio stations are going to live up to the WFOY slogan of “The Voice of St. Johns County,” they better be set up to reach listeners the best they can. And that explains some recent changes at the company, which operates WFOY and WAOC in St. Augustine. The improvements started last year when traditional AM channel WFOY (1240) started to simulcast on 102.3 FM in July. Sister station WAOC (1420 AM) will have the 96.5 FM frequency in town as soon as it gets final approval from the FCC. read more
