we're here we want the park we want the flooding addressed but if the problem down stream of us isn't taken care of we are spending money that could be used to repair the roads etc.  The crc has allready bought land and is building a community center at the park. and when the tiff fund is available we can use these funds for the park.  I was on the crc foe 2years know how it works.  As the economy comes back and people start to move back to the fe and not leaving thing will get better.  .35 might not be alot for you but it is for me. If I didn't have help from family and .............st. Johns Housing partership repairing heat water handicap ramp, etc. I would be homeless.  I can't afford to drive my car.  Take coa bus to doctors apointments, shopping, etc.  So say what you want about the fecc  because we just want some control over how the board is spending our MONEY and really listen to us as a community.  the government is rolling back why can't the bos live on a budget also.  Your remarks are very demeaning and I think you should be moderated@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"but they are being abandoned because a certain someone out here is mortgaging the land and uninhabitable homes to people who "otherwise" couldn't afford it and then uses the County rehab ( your CRA tax dollars) money to rehab the homes, then when they still can't make the payments they leave!!!  and they leave that for US to live with!  How nice is that?"

I can see from the statements on the posting that the poster does not know or understand the actual situation.

I am limited as to what I can actually comment about because the matter is between the  landowner and myself. However, I did not sell the property to the  parties. I did not set the property up as it has been that way for many years. The  parties came to me for help to keep them from losing their property through a tax deed sale. They are not a "young couple;" they are about the same age as me and my wife. All of their children are grown except for one who I believe is a senior in high school.

When I made the loan I knew nothing of any SHIP, CRA, or other funds that might help in the future.

I have a working relationship with St. Johns Housing Partnership as I am a volunteer attorney who helps homeowners attempt  to save their homes in foreclosure. St. Johns Housing Partnership works with the County using SHIP and other grants and funds. They have their own guidelines as to who they can and will help. I have nothing to do with whatever St. Johns Housing Partnership will or will not be able to do for the  family .

The mortgage shows on its face that the loan matures July 22nd, 2009. The mortgage requires a 30 day notice before starting foreclosure. A foreclosure takes at least 75 days if every event happened on the earliest day it could. This means that if I foreclosed as fast as possible, the Sheriff was able to serve the m  on the day I filed the lawsuit, and I was able to get the earliest court dates possible, and they did not oppose the foreclosure........the foreclosure would take until November 4th, 2009. I know that service of process by the Sheriff's department takes time and it is hard to get certain Court dates and even harder if a matter is contested. SO...there is plenty of time for the m to come up with a solution.

I would really like to see them  find a solution. I thought we had a possible solution with St. Johns Housing Partnership but that did not work out. They are trying their hardest to find a solution. If you look at the recorded mortgage (OR3107, Page 1662) the Loan is not for very much.

the homes, then when they still can't make the payments they leave!!!

When it was brought up to your husband about all the vacant homes out here and people just walking away because they cant afford it, he said that wasnt true. We do have that on tape.
You better decide who is being truthful, you or your husband?Huh
do you know the definition of truth?

The only reason why I thought that the post was referenced to that particular couple is because 5 different people came to me prior to notifying Mr. Collins and specifically told me about it.

Normally I take things I hear with a grain of salt, when it comes to rumors.  But after that many times it seems amazing that it could be anything but wrong.

If that were truly not the case, then who is to say who that particular couple he was writing about actually is because I did not see any names mentioned in that response?

What is truly amazing is that my name and phone number never made it to the benefit organizers for the fund raiser.

How about something a little more positive?  What happened at the meeting last night?  I did not get to make it , just didn't feel well.

Anyone that was present please share with those that could not be there.

Thanks!

Lets keep it positive and not use real names.
