I am looking for anyone that has empty margarine containers with lids that hold 2.5-3 pounds of margarine when full (mine had 2.13 pounds).  These tubs will be used to hold the raffle tickets for items at the booth.

I am hoping to collect anywhere from 25-50 sets (lids & containers), they will not be in returnable condition because slots will be cut into the lids for tickets to be deposited, they will also be stored for use in future events.

If you have any and are willing to donate them for this event it would be most appreciated.  Please send me a personal message or call me, so we can make necessary arrangements.  If you send a personal message please include your login name.

Recently discovered possible new information regarding the Fall Festival/Family Picnic Day.

Until this has been announced and verified by other entities, I have not been able to give updates on the Raffle Booth for 2010 School Supplies.  The flyer is currently being worked on but I have to be sure of what it will say before printing them up.  Hopefully there will be news in the CRC meeting tomorrow evening.

Sorry about removing the post regarding the need for a chest of drawers, any way I received 3 immediate responses and all is taken care of.  There is no longer a need for the chest of drawers or dresser, it has been fulfilled.

HIGH ENERGY BILL!

St. Johns Housing Partnership, Inc partners with Florida Department of Community Affairs to deliver more energy efficiency services to low-income households.

These energy efficiency improvements have resulted in energy savings.

High energy costs are an excessive burden on low-income families.

By lowering energy bills for low income families, Weatherization increases their self-sufficiency.

Weatherization prioritizes services to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and families with children.

Weatherization measures are delivered to single-family homes and mobile homes.

For more information about the Weatherization Assistance Program please call St. Johns Partnership, Inc at 904-824-0902 or visit the web site at www.sjhp.org

I have a debit card for $170 worth of school supplies that needs to be spent before Deccember 1, 2009.  The prepaid debit card issue is a joke so if you have never done it before, then my advice is don't.

Anyway anyone in their normal travels that happens to see school supplies greatly reduced or on clearance, please call or email me immediately and I will do my best to get there and in Dana's words "Scoop Em Up"!

Mainly we are looking at notebook paper & folders (because they are always a given).  However anything that is priced right and is a bargain will be taken into consideration.  Even nicer if there are multiple items to choose from, please let me know  @ 386-325-8618.

Anyone in need of Christmas help, or know of someone else please contact Joyce at the Buzz Mart hardware or the Rotary Club in Hastings.

If you hear of anyone that needs toys for Christmas tell them to come down and give me ages and their  address, phone number so we will know just how many toys or gifts we will need.  I really would appreciate it and please pass the word.  We did great for Flagler Estates last year and know that it is much more needed this year!

Thanks Joyce on behalf of the Rotary Club

The FECC has begun to prepare for the New Year and the June 2010 Flagler Estates Board of Supervisors election. We are currently in the process of establishing our platform and collecting our contact information for the upcoming election. The platform will be posted on our website in the near future.

We are in need of stamps to help with the mailing of our platform for potential candidates and the FECC proxy. We have had 2 large commitments, but have yet to receive those donations at this time. We also have received a $55. donation toward the postage fund last week alone, yet we are in need of much more. Any amount given is not tax deductible and we still have plenty of time to make this mail out a success.

If anyone is interested with the funding of this mail out, we are requesting 1 book of "Forever Stamps" (at a cost of $8.80) from all those that are willing and able to assist. We welcome any quantity that is affordable to your situation, and all quantities are greatly appreciated.
Any donations may be mailed to the FECC at 4215 Susan St. Hastings, FL 32145, you can mail it anonymously if you so choose.  This request is for donations of stamps.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone that you think would help fund the Postage Drive.

FECC website is www.flaglerestatesconcernedcitizens.org
Message Line phone number is 386-252-FECC (3322)

We will send you stamps, that is the least we can do cause your group saved us much money on our tax bill  this year.  Thank you so much.

Well, at least we have some people who show they care and appreciate the hard work!

We do, so we will be contributing 2 booklets of stamps as well as 1,000 envelopes.

Now how bout the rest of you?  A book of stamps costs only $8.80.  The FECC has saved you at least $60 per acre, so lets not be stingy and do what you know is right and send in those books of stamps. It is for the benefit of all  the Flagler Estates landowners.

Thanks and have a very, Merry Christmas.

May God Bless and protect us all!  Wink

How old is the baby?  I have a playpen that you can borrow temporarily, I normally use it for my grandbabies when they come to visit.  It is not in the greatest shape, but if it will help out in a crunch you are welcome to borrow it.

Thank you for making everyone aware of this wonderful service.

I see a sign in front of the same home offering free kittens every couple of months, and see the same cat pregnant all the time.

I am going to stop and see if they will let me pay to get that cat fixed.  I hope I don't get the door slammed in my face, or shot.

I am going to contact this agency for more info.

Thanks again.

NOTE:
The site address is www.fcnmhp.org and the topic Sunshine is referring to has been moved to a new topic entitled 4 legged friends, sorry for the inconvenience.  Candy Nelson

Thank you for being the first to step up for such a worthy cause, the possibility of the benefit achieved will always have a greater purpose than the risk that we take!

Wow I can not thank God enough for putting me in the position to pay it forward, and again it is so much bigger than us mere mortals!  This could turn out to be a good virus!

Subject: Lee Conlee House New Thrift Store!

As many of you know, I serve on the Lee Conlee House Domestic Violence Center Board of Directors.  We are very excited about our new "gently used" store opening.  "The Shoppe" is located at 926 St. Johns Avenue (across the street from Pizza Boys and McKinnon Furniture).  The Shoppe will officially open on Tuesday, July 6.  Many of you have asked me how you can help.  We need items for our store, please clean out your closets, cabinets and book cases.  There should be someone at the new store 9:00am to 5:00pm, so you can drop off these items then or you can call me directly and I can work out pick up with you.  Please spread the word about our new store and our need for "gently used" items especially furniture.  Please feel free to pass this email along to anyone else you think may be interested.  You are more than welcome to call me with any questions, thanks for your support!

Thanks!

Meghan Deputy

Neighbor in need of a washing machine!

Free is always better, but if anyone has a used working washer at a reasonable price please send me a personal message and I will make sure the person gets the information.

Need has been filled, she got a washer from another neighbor.

Anyone that has a need for a two seated front and back seat double children’s stroller please let me know.

It is used, fabric is in very good shape, and the body has some minor issue but is still very functional.

It is free to someone in need first come first serve, I will keep it in Flagler Estates until August 31st.  If no one claims it by then it will be taken to the Our Center in Hastings.
17:37

The stroller has been claimed and is no longer available.
